CHINESE
LUNCHEON CLUB
The Chinese Luncheon Club is provided
for older Chinese people of Wirral
to meet together and socialise
over lunch cooked in traditional
style at WMO. The Luncheon Club
runs every Wednesday between 12
noon and 2pm except during August
and is regularly attended by more
than 50 people. It is a very lively
event with lunch followed by playing
of Ma-Jong with an opportunity
each month to speak to Health
Link Workers or have a Health
Check at the Well People’s Clinic.
Festivals such as Chinese New
Year and the Dragon Boat Festival
are celebrated with invited guests
including the Mayor of Wirral.

Summer school holidays)

2010 is the Year of the Tiger,
which is also known by its formal name of Geng Yin.
ASIAN
LUNCH CLUB
A Lunch Club for Bangladeshi men
is held fortnightly at the Mosque
in Birkenhead. A weekly Lunch
Club is held on Sundays at WMO
for Sikh and other Asian community
members.

This group meets on the last Tuesday
of each month at WMO to enjoy
traditional lunch and enjoy a
social gathering
